Hanna and Pierre are a married couple who have moved to the elegant villa quarter of a small town near the capital and are holding a garden party for their neighbours in order to introduce themselves and their four children. Ludovic, the youngest, turns up in the garden wearing a long dress with his face made up like Fairy Pam of the television serial. The neighbours are somewhat taken aback, but the modern parents and grandmother pass sonny’s faux-pas over with laughter. The children start attending their new school, Ludovic is often found day dreaming. When the teacher asks the children to bring their favourite toy to school, Ludovic brings a doll. The little boy’s odd tendencies start drawing attention, however innocent as they may be. The neighbours make snide remarks, the mothers are shocked. The parents try to set matters right and poor Ludovic makes an effort to comply with their wishes. But he cannot deny that he just does not feel like a boy... What seemed only funny at first now leads to drama.

Ганна та П`єр - подружжя, що переїхало в дорогий квартал невеличкого міста неподалік від столиці і влаштовує вечірку в своєму саду, щоб представити сусідам себе та своїх чотирьох дітей. Наймолодший, Людовік, виходить до саду в дівчачому вбранні з косметикою на обличчі. Сусіди налякані, але батьки та бабуся зі сміхом сприймають витівки сина. Діти починають ходити до нової школи. Людовик виявляється великим мандрівником. Коли учитель просить дітей принести свою улюблену іграшку, той приносить ляльку. Дивні нахили хлопчака починають привертати увагу, якими б невинними вони не були. Батьки намагаються владнати справи, а нещасний Людовік - поводитися так, як вони того бажають. Але він не може заперечувати, що не відчуває себе хлопцем... Те, що раніше здавалося пустощами, призводить до драми.

Alain Berliner (born 21 February 1963 in Brussels, began making short features during the late 1980s. He was awarded the main prize at the Francophone Film Festival in Namur, Belgium, in 1993 for his film ROSE. He worked as a lector with the Brussels production company Multimedia from 1990. He has written the screenplays for a number of television series and films, based on stories such as "Monsieur Victor", 1993, and also stories he wrote himself (Tiger, 1993). The film MA VIE EN ROSE (1997) is his first feature-length film.

Ален Берлінер народився 21 лютого 1963 року в Брюсселі. Почав знімати короткометражні художні фільми наприкінці 80-х років. Отримав головний приз на фестивалі франкомовних фільмів у Намюрі (Бельгія, 1993) за стрічку РОЗА. Від 1990 року працював лектором у Брюссельській продюсерській компанії Мультимедіа.
